The CBFC’s online portal is reported to have suffered a security flaw that exposed documents linked to more than 500 film titles, according to multiple Indian outlets. The material reportedly includes film scripts and certification-related files, such as censor board cut orders.

The reports describe the leaked information as both creative and commercial in nature. Alongside scripts and certification documents, The Hindu says distribution and licensing agreements were also accessible, including licensing fees. NDTV similarly characterises the leak as exposing sensitive files for upcoming theatrical releases and says the issue lasted for several days.

India Today focuses on certification records and scripts, aligning broadly with the idea that records for a large number of films were involved. Overall, the outlets share the same core description of the breach and its scale, while differing in how specifically they detail what categories of documents were exposed and the duration of exposure.
