A woman on social media says a man secretly recorded her during a Bengaluru Metro trip and fled when she confronted him. She identified herself as Sowpika and shared a video describing the incident on a train around 4:30 pm on Tuesday.
The reports say she told the man to unlock his phone and involved metro security after he allegedly tried to leave. Two outlets state that Bengaluru City Police have registered a case and are investigating. One outlet additionally specifies that the incident location is near Kadugodi Road in Whitefield, as described in her video.
Coverage largely tracks her account: she confronts the passenger, he attempts to exit or run, and security is contacted. The main differences are in emphasis—some focus on her reaction and immediate confrontation, while others include more detail from the social media narration and the steps she says she took after retrieving or attempting to retrieve his phone.
