APC deputy national chairman Ali Bukar Dalori says President Bola Tinubu will defeat ADC presidential candidate Atiku Abubakar in the 2027 election, including in Atiku’s home state of Adamawa. Dalori predicts the contest will also favour Tinubu across parts of Nigeria’s North-East, framing the outcome as driven by Tinubu’s grassroots support and government performance rather than candidates’ home regions.

Speaking at an event in Abuja, Dalori points to federal infrastructure and road projects in the North-East—such as the Gombe-Bauchi Road, Bauchi-Maiduguri Road, and Maiduguri-Gamboru Ngala corridor—as well as continuing work on the Maiduguri-Biu Road. He also argues that Tinubu’s administration has delivered economic policy changes, including the removal of petrol subsidy and foreign exchange market reforms. Some outlets add that Tinubu’s ally Kashim Shettima has influence in the region.

While all reports attribute the core claim to Dalori and focus on Adamawa and the North-East, they differ slightly on breadth (some mention only Adamawa; others include additional states) and on which supporting examples are highlighted, such as transport projects versus specific economic reforms.
