Rajasthan’s Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) is investigating allegations involving IAS officer Shikhar Agrawal and his IPS wife, Prashakha Mathur, over the alleged purchase of villas and cottages linked to a private resort company. Multiple reports say the couple’s names, along with other family members, appear in property transactions around Udaipur, Alwar and Ajabgarh, and that the ACB is examining claims of below-market pricing and conflicts of interest.
According to outlets, the scrutiny centers on whether Agrawal, while holding senior roles in state government, used his official position to extend benefits to Goyal Fashions Private Limited, which runs properties under the “Ananta” brand. Mint and NDTV cite the scale of the alleged deals and question whether the purchases were structured to confer financial advantages to the company.
Separate developments reported by outlets also indicate personnel action by the Rajasthan government. Free Press Journal and Times of India say Agrawal is placed on Awaiting Posting Orders (APO), with additional administrative steps including placing Mathur on APO as well, as the ACB’s preliminary enquiry develops into a fuller investigation under relevant anti-corruption provisions.
