Ella Purnell returns as Rhiannon Lewis in the trailer for Sweetpea’s second season. The Sky and Starz dark comedy/thriller series follows Lewis, who shifts from a more ordinary persona into someone who commits murders, and the new footage teases what happens next.
Both outlets frame Season 2 as continuing Lewis’s escalating attempts to navigate her life while staying ahead of threats and exposure. ComingSoon.net emphasizes a range of plot beats shown in the trailer, including a promotion, a rebound relationship, Marina pursuing her, her sister selling the family home, and a copycat killer who may expose her. Deadline similarly highlights Purnell’s return to the killer role and notes the release of a full trailer and new images, framing the season’s premise through Lewis’s own insistence on living “her truth,” amid murder-related complications.
