Google is updating its Gemini personal AI avatars so users can share their digital likenesses with others and create group-style AI content. Outlets describe features that let friends appear in each other’s images and videos, including the ability to tag one another in prompts and collaborate on AI-generated content.
Reporting also focuses on how the sharing works. NDTV says users can record their face and voice to create personal avatars, then share them via Gmail invitations that require recipient approval. It adds that avatar owners can manage permissions, set expiry dates, and revoke access in Gemini settings, with requirements including a personal Google account, age limits, language support and restrictions on availability by region. Digital Trends emphasizes the social aspect—turning avatars into something users can use together in the content they generate.
