A helicopter crash in Uttarakhand kills all six people on board, including the pilot, after the aircraft takes off from Badrinath. Two reports say passenger Pratap Bachihalli Ningaraju, 41, records a selfie video just before departure. Authorities lose contact with the helicopter shortly after it lifts off.
The accounts focus on different parts of the same incident. One outlet describes the passenger filming “inside” the helicopter before the crash and notes the aircraft lost contact soon after take-off. Another outlet emphasizes the context of the recording, saying the video is made as the helicopter prepares to depart from the Badrinath helipad for Dehradun.
Both sources report that aviation authorities are investigating to determine what caused the crash.
