A 33-year-old woman dies after jumping from the 18th floor of an apartment building in Pune with her 6-year-old son, police say. Investigators are examining CCTV footage and a handwritten note recovered at the scene at Signature Park in Thergaon-Wakad (Pimpri-Chinchwad area).
Across reports, the woman is identified as Ekta Bhangde (also spelled Ekta Manoj Bhangad in one outlet) and the child as Madhav Bhangde (also spelled Madhav Manoj Bhangad). One outlet says the incident occurs near Dange Chowk around 6.30 pm and adds details about the family, including that the husband works as an engineer at an IT company and that the woman was a homemaker.
