Amazon is offering steep discounts on Apple’s M5 MacBook lineup, with multiple outlets reporting $200 off many M5 MacBook Air configurations and a larger markdown on the 14-inch M5 MacBook Pro. Mashable says a 15-inch MacBook Air with an M5 chip is reduced by about $200 to $1,299.99, highlighting features such as Wi‑Fi 7 and “Apple Intelligence.”
MacRumors reports that nearly every M5 MacBook Air model is discounted on Amazon over the weekend, listing starting prices of $1,099.99 for a 13-inch 512GB configuration and $1,299.99 for the 15-inch 512GB configuration, with other storage/RAM options also marked down by $199–$200. MacRumors also notes stock and delivery timing, including estimates for early next week.
For the Pro, Macworld and AppleInsider News both describe Amazon clearing M5 MacBook Pro inventory with the 14-inch model priced at $1,349 (or $1,349.99). Macworld frames it as a “clearance” deal after Apple raised MacBook prices in June and notes the M5 Pro becoming previous-generation after the M6 launch this week, while AppleInsider emphasizes the “lowest price on record” and specific GPU/CPU and memory/storage configuration.
