Singer Yo Yo Honey Singh mourns the death of his nephew, Vidit Auluck/Olak, who dies in a road accident in Jalandhar, Punjab, early on Sunday. Multiple outlets report that Vidit’s friend Aarav Talwar was also killed, while other passengers survived the crash.
Reports describe the crash as involving a Volkswagen car colliding with a stationary Municipal Corporation tractor-trolley on a Jalandhar flyover. Coverage notes that Honey Singh posts about the tragedy on social media, using the phrase “dark decade for me,” and that the police respond after receiving information about the incident in the early hours.
While outlets largely agree on the location, timing, and the key parties involved, they vary on granular details such as the exact naming of Vidit, the car journey details, and whether they specify how many people were in the vehicle or present more contextual information about the friends’ background and where they were coming from.
