A Trump Towers resident in Gurugram, Varun Suhag, accuses real estate developer M3M and building management of effectively putting his family under “house arrest” by restricting access—particularly by allegedly deactivating his floor’s lift call button. Suhag says this also affected deliveries, visitors and services, and he describes difficulties because an elderly mother and a young child live with him.

M3M denies the allegations. In its response, the developer says lift and movement controls were part of uniform security and access management during ongoing interior fit-out work, including regulating worker movement while keeping other access routes available. It also says lifts were accessible from other floors and that staircases remained available as fire and emergency exits. M3M further states the arrangement was communicated to the homeowner by email in early October, and that direct lift access to the resident’s floor was later activated.

While outlets broadly recount Suhag’s accusation and M3M’s denial, the emphasis varies: some foreground the resident’s “house arrest” framing and reported restrictions, while others lead with M3M’s rebuttal and call the claim “misleading.”
