The Springboks are scheduled to play Italy in Turin this Saturday, and Rassie Erasmus is expected to name the matchday squad ahead of the Test. Multiple outlets focus on the timing of the team announcement rather than any final lineup.
Coverage also notes that Erasmus is preparing for selection calls as the Springboks open a European Nations Championship campaign. One outlet highlights the possibility of newcomers being considered for Test debuts, pointing to potential changes within the squad.
While most reporting aligns on the fixture and the team-naming lead-up, the emphasis differs: some outlets foreground the exact announcement timing, while others stress the selection “shake-up” and the prospect of fresh faces. Across sources, the common thread is that Erasmus is balancing squad selection decisions for the Italy match.
