Amazon MGM has released the official trailer for its upcoming Christmas heist comedy “The Man with the Bag,” starring Arnold Schwarzenegger as Santa Claus and Alan Ritchson as a criminal recruited to help him recover gifts. The film centres on Santa’s magic bag of Christmas presents being stolen by a rogue elf, prompting a holiday “Naughty List” style partnership to track it down.
Multiple outlets describe the movie as an action-comedy caper directed by Adam Shankman, with writing credited in at least one report to Allan Rice. Coverage also highlights the film’s ensemble, including Awkwafina as an elf figure, along with other cast members mentioned by some outlets. Sources further frame it as a return to Christmas genre for Schwarzenegger, tying it to his earlier holiday action-comedy work. The movie is set for a December 2, 2026 exclusive release on Prime Video, according to at least one report.
