Bill Hader is set to guest star on ABC’s Abbott Elementary during this season, with the announcement tied to his appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live!. Multiple outlets report that Hader also reunites with series creator Quinta Brunson, citing their shared work in the upcoming movie The Cat in the Hat.
The coverage agrees that Hader’s character and specific plot details have not been disclosed yet. Deadline and Variety both say he revealed the news on Jimmy Kimmel Live!, but provide no further information beyond excitement for the appearance. TVLine frames the item as part of broader casting updates and emphasizes the connection between Hader and Brunson from their film collaboration, while still pointing to the Abbott Elementary guest role.
Across sources, the primary context is the timing (“later this season”) and the lack of details on role or storyline, with emphasis varying between general casting-news roundups and straightforward show-focused reporting.
