Jimmy Kimmel reacts on his late-night show to Democrats’ major midterm election victories and control of both congressional chambers. Across the excerpts provided, he highlights the “blue wave” as Democrats take back power while warning that Donald Trump may not accept the results calmly.
The coverage also frames Kimmel’s remarks through the political implications of the vote. ComingSoon.net describes him celebrating Democrats’ win while expressing concern that Trump could resist the political loss. Washington Times and Fox News both emphasize Kimmel’s celebration of Democrats’ election-night outcomes, including language portraying Trump’s defeat. Rolling Stone centers on Kimmel’s sharper, more provocative celebratory phrasing tied to a “blue tsunami” theme.
While the outlets agree on the basic premise—Kimmel’s on-air reaction to the midterm results—their emphasis differs, with some foregrounding celebration and others foregrounding the warning about what comes next.
