Cricket West Indies (CWI) confirms its list of contracted players for the 2026–27 season, with Matthew Forde, Amir Jangoo and Mandy Mangru earning maiden international retainer contracts and John Campbell returning.
The reports say CWI has senior retainer contracts for 15 men and 15 women, alongside development contracts for three men. Several outlets frame the announcement as recognition of recent performances that lead to new or renewed places on the retainer list.
One outlet adds that some players miss out, noting that Alick Athanaze, Romario Shepherd and Brandon King are not included among the contracted men. Overall, coverage largely aligns on the key names and the overall contract numbers, while differing on whether to highlight those excluded.
