Microsoft rolls out an updated Xbox PC app to Xbox Insiders, aiming to make the experience “faster” and “simpler.” The Xbox Wire announcement says the app can launch up to 60% faster and includes improvements for finding games, connecting with friends, and playing. It also says Xbox is expanding a refreshed Xbox web experience to more players and updating Xbox cloud gaming apps on supported TVs and VR headsets.
Other coverage focuses on the PC app rollout and its user-interface changes. Pure Xbox reports that the new Insider version arrives starting today and highlights a cleaner visual style along with quality-of-life improvements for browsing the Microsoft Store, managing a library of games, and accessing Xbox Game Pass. IGN similarly summarizes Microsoft’s message that the Xbox PC app is updated to be faster and simpler.
Overall, the outlets largely agree on the core point: an Insider-facing Xbox PC app update is beginning immediately with improved performance and navigation, with additional attention to web and cloud updates in the Xbox Wire description.
