Electric truck maker Harbinger raises $240 million in a Series D funding round, according to multiple reports. The company says the new capital will support continued growth and expansion of its electric-vehicle platform beyond trucks.
TechCrunch and FreightWaves describe Harbinger as Los Angeles/Garden Grove–based and report that it has raised more than $650 million since 2021. FreightWaves adds that FedEx and THOR Industries participated as strategic investors. TechCrunch also says Harbinger is working on electric trucks, emergency vehicles, and a driverless platform for military use.
PR Newswire highlights the round’s lead investor, Tiger Global, and lists other participating investors including Fidelity Management & Research Company, Capricorn, Greycroft, Ridgeline, and PanaceaVC. Electrek frames the funding as another milestone alongside recent company wins, including a large FedEx order and a defense contract with the U.S. military.
