An elderly woman in Kandivali West, Mumbai, is attacked and robbed of a gold chain, with CCTV footage capturing the incident. NDTV and the Free Press Journal report it happened at Umang Apartment on November 3, describing a man approaching the woman at or near her home and then snatching the chain before fleeing.

India Today and NDTV both frame the suspect’s approach as deceptive: India Today says the man posed as a fake delivery agent, while NDTV describes the man asking for an address before taking the chain. Free Press Journal adds more detail from the footage, saying the man appears to pose as a visitor or visitor-like figure, pretends to enquire about someone in the building, and attacks after being directed.

Following the reports, NDTV says police register an FIR and investigate security lapses, and other coverage highlights residents’ concerns about safety in residential complexes and the vulnerability of senior citizens in such settings.
