Jennie records the song “Someone to Hold” for the soundtrack of Netflix’s forthcoming animated film “Steps,” according to multiple outlets. Rolling Stone and Billboard both frame it as a newly released pop track connected to the film.
Other coverage adds broader context about Jennie’s participation. Korea Times reports that the soundtrack contribution is her first time joining a soundtrack for an animation, citing her agency and OA Entertainment, and includes details about how she describes the experience. Korea Times also notes that the song has received an early nomination on the awards pathway and that the film is scheduled for release on Nov. 20.
Overall, the outlets agree on the core facts: Jennie is the performer of the soundtrack song, it is tied to “Steps,” and the release timing of the film is upcoming. Differences are mainly in how much they emphasize song hype and immediacy versus first-time/behind-the-scenes context and awards mentions.
