State Bank of India’s US banking subsidiary, SBIC Bank, opens a new branch in Frisco and North Dallas, Texas, extending its US footprint beyond California. The branch launch takes SBIC’s network in the United States to eight locations.

SBI Chairman Challa Sreenivasulu Setty inaugurates the Texas branch, which is described as the subsidiary’s first office outside California. Outlets say the new location is intended to support retail deposits, commercial lending, international remittances, and specialised banking for non-resident Indians, with Dallas positioned as a major commercial centre.

Beyond SBIC’s subsidiary branches, SBI also operates direct branches in New York, Chicago and Los Angeles, plus a representative office in Washington, DC. Coverage also places the move within SBI’s broader international network, mentioning its overseas points of presence and correspondent banking relationships, though details are more extensive in some reports.
