A Rajasthan court in Chaumahla orders an FIR against senior and other police personnel from Madhya Pradesh’s Agar Malwa district in connection with a disputed NDPS operation in Jhalawar district in January 2026. The FIR is registered at Dag police station in Rajasthan following a June court process, and names Agar Kotwali SHO Shashi Upadhyay and Barod SHO Roop Singh Rajput, along with sub-inspectors Rakhi Gurjar, Ajay Jat and Rahul Vishwakarma, constable Shubham, and 90 other unidentified personnel under various legal sections.

The operation is said to have taken place on January 28 in Ghata Khedi village under the Dag police station jurisdiction. Agar Malwa police claim they seized a large quantity of narcotics and arrested two suspects based on information provided by Faizan of Susner. The arrested persons’ father, Hafiz Khan, challenges the raid in court, alleging that Madhya Pradesh police did not inform local police, misbehaved with family members, and falsely implicated his sons.

During arguments on June 11, lawyers cite alleged violations of mandatory NDPS procedures, including lack of prior information to local police, absence of videography during search and seizure, no independent witnesses, and discrepancies between items shown at a press conference and those recorded in seizure documentation. Jhalawar SP Amit Kumar Budania assigns the probe to ASP Bhagchand Meena, whose report raises questions about the legality of the operation, after which the court directs FIR registration.
