Tarlac Provincial Police Office is investigating the discovery of two people found dead inside a car along the Tarlac-Pangasinan-La Union Expressway (TPLEx). Police said the bodies were found on Wednesday at a rest stop along the southbound segment of the expressway in Barangay San Francisco, Victoria, Tarlac. In an earlier statement, the police said the incident is under thorough investigation, with assistance from the Tarlac Forensic Unit, and did not give additional details. On Thursday, police reported that initial forensic examination shows no apparent external injuries on the two bodies. Police also said the individuals have been identified after family members positively recognized them. The Tarlac PPO stated that it officially confirms the positive identification by the relatives. As the investigation continues, authorities have not publicly released information on the cause of death or other circumstances surrounding the car’s presence at the rest stop.
