Leaders across parties also send birthday greetings. Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav wishes Rahul Gandhi and refers to a shared “one goal,” which he links to protecting the rights of the Constitution, social justice and related priorities. Rahul Gandhi thanks Akhilesh in reply and reiterates that goal. Abhishek Banerjee also posts birthday wishes, and Rahul Gandhi responds by saying they will continue working to protect constitutional values and defend people’s rights.
In Delhi, posters with birthday messages are displayed outside Indira Bhawan. In Varanasi, Youth Congress workers hold a celebration portraying Rahul Gandhi as “Lord Parashurama,” including a ritual of milk abhishek, a Ganga-related observance, and a display of him holding the Constitution and an axe. BJP spokesperson Shehzad Poonawalla criticizes the portrayal as offensive to Hindu faith.
