Two modified Alfa Romeo classics listed for sale by Bring a Trailer partners

2.0L-Powered 1969 Alfa Romeo GTV 1750

This 1969 Alfa Romeo GTV 1750 was acquired as a rolling shell by the seller in 2004 and subsequently upgraded over the seller's ensuing 22 years with the car. Highlights included fitting a limited slip differential and refurbishing the chassis as well as repairing and repainting the body from 2004 to 2016 as well as installing a 2.0L twin-cam inline-four and a five-speed manual transmission that were rebuilt by Alfa West of Englewood, Colorado, circa 2024. Work in preparation for the sale is noted to have involved cleaning the underside, repainting the rocker panels, and performing paint correction. Finished in red, the car wears yellow-lens fog lamps and rides on 15" Rota wheels coupled with Koni shocks and Centerline lowering springs at all four corners. Inside, black vinyl–trimmed seats are joined by a Sabelt steering wheel as well as Veglia Borletti instrumentation. The "big-valve" cylinder head is fitted with Euro-spec camshafts, and the engine is further equipped with dual Weber DCOE carburetors, wrapped headers, and a 2.5" exhaust system. This modified GTV is now offered with parts invoices and a clean Colorado title in the seller's name.

Twin-Plug 1.9L-Powered 1965 Alfa Romeo Giulia Sprint GT

This 1965 Alfa Romeo Giulia Sprint GT underwent a build by Swiss marque specialist Oliver Vetter from 2000 to 2002 that involved a repaint in white as well as installation of a modified 1.6L engine before being acquired by the current owner in 2003. It was later sold in 2010 to a German collector, who in 2012 installed a 1.9L inline-four built by Italauto using a 1750-sourced block, forged pistons, and upgraded camshafts. Chassis AR609762 was later reacquired by the current owner in 2018 and relocated to Belgium, where it underwent a GTA-style interior refresh and was fitted with a twin-plug cylinder head from Capricorn Group. The car rides on 14" Tecnomagnesio GTA-style magnesium wheels and features a drilled hood, decklid, doors, rear trunnion, and trailing arms along with an Alfaholics four-wheel disc brake kit. Inside, black vinyl–trimmed seats are accompanied by a wood-rimmed Hellebore steering wheel, replica Heuer dash timers, Perspex side glass, and a roll bar. The engine breathes through dual Weber side-draft carburetors as well as an Alfaholics exhaust system, while shifting is through a close-ratio five-speed transmission linked with a limited-slip differential. This modified Stepnose is now offered on behalf of the owner out of the Netherlands by Image Street Classics, a BaT Local Partner, with correspondence from Marco Fazio at the Museo Storico Alfa Romeo, partial build records, a 2023 dynamometer summary, and Belgian registration in the owner's name. This car, along with three others from our Local Partner, will be on display at the 2026 Historic Grand Prix Zandvoort as part of the Bring a Trailer x ImageStreetClassics display.
