Traffic in North Macedonia is moving smoothly on state roads, with dry road surfaces, according to the Agency for State Roads (AMSΜ). Outside urban areas, traffic intensity on main routes is reported as moderate. At border crossings on the Macedonian side, most routes operate without longer delays for entry and exit. However, the crossings “Bogorodica” and “Dojran” see increased vehicle frequency for entry into the country, with waiting times of about 30 minutes in one report. Another update states that at “Bogorodica” and “Dojran” the wait for exiting the country is around 40 minutes. Other crossings on the Macedonian side are described as having no longer stoppages.
AMSΜ recommends drivers adjust speed to conditions, follow posted traffic signage, and drive carefully—especially on road sections through valleys, river areas, and gorges where landslides or rockfalls are possible. The agency specifically highlights the routes Katlanovo–Veles, Mavrovo–Debar–Struga, Vinica–Berovo, and Kočani–Delčevo.
