The BJP’s Madhya Pradesh unit has announced a new state working committee with 106 members, led by party state president Hemant Khandelwal. The list also includes 41 permanent invitees and, according to reporting, no special invitees are named yet. Chief Minister Mohan Yadav, Union Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan, Union Ministers Virendra Kumar and Jyotiraditya Scindia, and both Deputy Chief Ministers Rajendra Shukla and Jagdish Devda are included in the committee, along with other senior central and state party figures. Union Ministers of State Durgadas Uike and Savitri Thakur are also part of the working committee. The reports also note the participation of several state ministers and senior leaders in the membership list. The party states the appointments form part of organisational restructuring to strengthen the functioning of the state unit, and the updated list is shared with senior BJP leaders at the national and state levels for coordination. Separately, Khandelwal held a review meeting at the BJP state office in Bhopal with members of the district office construction committee, focusing on progress of the party’s office building construction work. The party is expected to hold a state working committee meeting around mid-July in Orchha, with a special invitee list to follow.
