Bollywood actor Amitabh Bachchan reduces his shareholding in DP Wires Ltd through an open market sale, according to National Stock Exchange (NSE) bulk deal data. Bachchan sells 1,23,622 equity shares in the Madhya Pradesh-based steel wires manufacturer, which represents about a 0.79% stake. The shares are sold on Tuesday at an average price of ₹200.84 each, for a total transaction value of around ₹2.48 crore. The reports note that as of the end of the March quarter, Bachchan held about 2.11% stake in DP Wires, equivalent to roughly 3.27 lakh shares. The same exchange data also shows he purchased 41,566 shares during the period at an average price of ₹199.90 each, worth about ₹83.09 lakh, indicating mixed buy-and-sell activity. Following the bulk deal, DP Wires shares trade up, with one report citing a 4.56% gain to around ₹213.03 on the NSE. The identities of the other parties to the transactions are not disclosed in the exchange data cited.
