A man in Morena district, Madhya Pradesh, is accused of killing his wife and their two minor sons before ending his own life by jumping in front of a train, police said on Saturday. The incident allegedly occurred in the Matabasaiya police station area and was reported after local residents informed authorities. The victims are identified as Balram Singh, his wife Ravita, and their sons Aarav (10) and Atul (7). Police said the bodies were found inside a home in Kishanpur village in a blood-stained condition, and a team including forensic and fingerprint experts inspected the scene. All four bodies were sent for post-mortem examination.

Authorities said initial investigations indicate a long-standing domestic dispute within the family, while the precise sequence of events and motive are still being verified. Ravita had reportedly returned to her matrimonial home only two days before the incident, after staying at her parents’ house. Some locals alleged the dispute was linked to a wife’s dance during a “Bhagwat Katha,” and others claimed the husband doubted her character, but police have not confirmed these claims. Investigators are questioning relatives and neighbours, and officials urge that conclusions wait until forensic findings and post-mortem reports are available.
