A National Pulse Polio Campaign is underway in Madhya Pradesh, with authorities and health workers conducting awareness drives and vaccination activities ahead of and during the three-day campaign. In Dhar, district officials flag off an awareness rally ahead of Sunday’s special day, involving ASHA and USHA workers, Anganwadi workers, ANMs, nursing students and schoolchildren. The district targets 3,46,177 children aged 0–5 through 2,538 booths, supported by 5,076 vaccinators and 254 supervisors, with mobile teams at bus stands, railway stations and markets. Dhar also plans door-to-door coverage to vaccinate missed children on June 29–30.

In Bhopal, the campaign begins statewide with Chief Minister Mohan Yadav launching it by administering polio drops, while the state reports deployment of about 83,000 booths, 1.66 lakh vaccinators and 26,000 supervisors. Transit booths operate at transport hubs, with door-to-door visits on June 29–30. In Bhopal city, around 3.32 lakh children are set to receive drops through 2,710 booths.

In Indore district, the campaign is launched by the District Collector, targeting more than 3.6 lakh children, with booth-based vaccination on the first day and door-to-door follow-up. Officials reiterate that children should receive polio drops during each Pulse Polio campaign to maintain protection.
