The Television Academy has announced the seven inductees for its 28th TV Academy Hall of Fame, with the ceremony set for opening night of the organization’s Televerse 2026 festival. The honorees include the late journalist Ed Bradley, who will be inducted posthumously; actor Ted Danson; actress Jean Smart; and documentary producer Sheila Nevins. The Academy also recognizes Netflix executive Ted Sarandos. In the animation and comedy category, it names Trey Parker and Matt Stone, the co-creators behind “South Park.”

Across the announcements, the Academy describes the class as covering a range of work in television, from journalism and documentary to comedy, animation, and executive leadership. The selection continues the Hall of Fame’s focus on major contributions to the television industry, honoring individuals for their impact and legacy. The induction ceremony is scheduled to take place as part of Televerse, which serves as the Academy’s annual gathering for television professionals.
