Virtuoso Music, a UK-based music company, is expanding into India with a “creator-first” approach focused on original music and artist development. Multiple outlets report that the company’s India operations cover the full pipeline, including music creation, rights management for existing catalogues, artist development, and distribution. Virtuoso says it will work with creators, talent, and rights holders across India to develop, manage, and release music. The company is already producing content in several regional languages, with sources citing Hindi, Punjabi, Tamil, and Telugu. Plans call for its first releases in early 2027.
The move is positioned as tapping into India’s fast-growing music market, which one report projects could reach ₹75 billion by 2028, helped by a young, mobile-first audience and the popularity of regional music. Across coverage, Virtuoso’s stated differentiator is its model that combines production with rights handling and distribution support for both new works and an existing back catalogue, aiming to serve both artists and rights holders.
