In Sakinaka, a separate incident ends in death. A 55/60-year-old man identified as Aslam Isak Shaikh (reported as 55 and also 60 in different accounts) allegedly falls into an open manhole on Khairani Road near Sanman Hotel while talking on his mobile phone. Police say the manhole/drain remains open due to ongoing drainage repair work by a private contractor. CCTV footage captured the fall as rainwater sweeps him away.
