Former All Progressives Congress (APC) national chairman Abdullahi Ganduje denies rumours that he has joined the New Democratic Congress (NDC). Multiple outlets report that Ganduje rejects the claims ahead of the 2027 election cycle, stating that the “defection posters” circulating on social media do not reflect his political intentions. He reaffirms that he remains committed to the APC and to working with President Bola Tinubu and party leadership to advance the Renewed Hope Agenda.
According to the reports, Ganduje describes the posters as false and politically motivated, intended to mislead the public and create confusion within the APC. He also says he is not the kind of politician who changes parties for personal ambition, and he presents himself as consistent in his political convictions.
The outlets further note that Ganduje’s camp says the people behind the materials have been identified. He warns that legal action may be taken against those responsible unless the posters are withdrawn. He urges APC members, supporters, and the public to disregard the claims and to rely only on official communications from him or authorised APC organs.
