The Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB) issues a warning to public utility vehicle (PUV) drivers against vlogging or recording social media content while driving. In a statement, the LTFRB says it issued Memorandum Circular No. 2026-050 to reinforce enforcement of the Anti-Distracted Driving Act. The agency says it has noticed an increase in vloggers and other social media content creators producing content while operating or riding in PUVs, which it warns can distract drivers and increase the risk of road crashes. The LTFRB calls on PUV operators and drivers to comply with the law and focus on driving rather than on recording or going on camera. The agency’s message emphasizes that drivers should keep their attention on the road and avoid activities that take their eyes or mind away from operating the vehicle safely. The circular is presented as a measure to deter distracted driving practices tied to content creation and to support road safety for passengers and other road users.
