L7 bassist Jennifer Finch announces she has been diagnosed with brain cancer, which multiple outlets describe as aggressive. The band says she is undergoing treatment and recovery following multiple surgeries, and that she will need ongoing medical care and professional support at home. As a result, Finch will not join her bandmates for the upcoming North American portion of L7’s planned farewell effort, which is referred to as “The Last Hurrah Tour” and includes a final tour run beginning in October 2026.
Several sources report that friends and family have launched a GoFundMe to help cover treatment and recovery costs. The fundraiser is described as supporting a range of needs, including medical expenses and additional in-home care, such as nursing assistance and physical or speech therapy, along with equipment and other essentials.
L7 also states it is continuing with remaining tour plans without Finch, describing the decision as aligned with her request, while emphasizing that her health and rehabilitation are the band’s priority.
