Capital is chasing ambition across business today. Blue Origin, long financed largely by Jeff Bezos, is reportedly seeking its first outside funding at a hefty $130 billion valuation, a sign that investor appetite for space ventures remains strong. In Asia, Singapore’s Temasek struck a similarly bullish tone, reporting record portfolio value and stepping up bets on artificial intelligence, infrastructure and private credit. But confidence was harder to find elsewhere: Russia temporarily halted diesel exports after Ukrainian drone strikes damaged refineries, tightening domestic supply and pushing global fuel prices higher. In aviation, Air Canada tapped SAS chief Anko Van der Werff to steer the carrier through fleet expansion, cost pressures and softer travel demand. And in India, South Indian Bank shares slid despite the central bank’s approval of Mahesh Pai as incoming CEO, suggesting investors remain wary even when succession questions are settled.
