The Philippine weather bureau (Pagasa) forecasts generally fair weather in most areas, with rainfall mainly limited to parts of extreme Northern Luzon as the southwest monsoon (“habagat”) weakens. In its advisories and forecasts issued in the morning and afternoon, Pagasa says habagat is confined to western sections of Northern Luzon and is expected to weaken further and potentially move offshore due to a low-pressure area (LPA) near Hong Kong. Separate reports note that within the next 24 hours, habagat prevails over extreme Northern Luzon, bringing partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms over Ilocos Norte, Batanes, and the Babuyan Islands. Pagasa also warns of possible flash floods or landslides during severe thunderstorms.

One report ties the continued weakening to an LPA that develops into a tropical depression, with the system last tracked about 940 kilometers west-northwest of extreme Northern Luzon near Guangdong, China. Across updates, Pagasa reiterates that conditions beyond extreme Northern Luzon are expected to be mostly fair, with localized rains rather than widespread weather disturbance.
