Telangana’s Health Minister Damodar Raja Narasimha announces a set of measures to strengthen government healthcare infrastructure in tribal areas. The proposals focus on expanding diagnostic and treatment services across facilities linked to the Integrated Tribal Development Agency (ITDA). One key initiative is the introduction of CT scan services in all ITDA Area Hospitals, with implementation described as phased. In addition to imaging services, the government plans to add more primary-level healthcare capacity by sanctioning new sub-centres and primary health centres (PHCs) wherever they are required. The health minister also outlines steps to increase dialysis services in Bhadradri Kothagudem, including the sanctioning of four additional dialysis centres. Further, the plan includes providing one ambulance for each mandal in the district. Taken together, the measures aim to improve access to diagnostics, outpatient and primary care, renal treatment, and emergency transport in tribal and remote areas by expanding existing government health facilities and services.
