Swiggy’s quick-commerce platform Instamart has partnered with Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited (HPCL) to launch an on-demand LPG cylinder delivery service, described by multiple reports as the first of its kind on a quick-commerce app in India. The service initially pilots in Bengaluru before expanding to other cities, with no agreed timeline disclosed by the companies. Customers can order HPCL LPG cylinders without needing an existing domestic HP Gas connection. Reported cylinder options include 5 kg and 10 kg variants, with HP Navya identified as HPCL’s next-generation 10 kg composite cylinder and also availability of HPCL’s 5 kg metal cylinder.

For first-time buyers, orders are treated as new cylinder purchases, with identity verification and proof-of-delivery steps mentioned across coverage. For repeat customers, the service follows a refill model, where empty cylinders are collected during delivery and refilled. Multiple outlets also note that pricing details were not publicly disclosed. Deliveries are fulfilled through HPCL’s authorised distributor network, using trained personnel and following safety and regulatory guidelines. The move expands Instamart’s catalogue beyond groceries and household essentials into a high-trust service category.
