In response, leadership of the Base application effort is moving to Jordan Fish, known on X as “Cobie,” who will take over the app team.
Pollak remains involved with Base and is shifting his focus toward broader infrastructure priorities. The outlets report that he plans to concentrate on areas including trading-related capabilities, stablecoin payments, and support for AI agents. The change reflects an internal reallocation of responsibilities rather than a public product shutdown or abandonment of Base initiatives. Both sources characterize the transition as a recalibration of strategy following an assessment that the social-oriented growth effort under Pollak’s leadership was not as effective as intended.
