Two men are injured after a fight breaks out inside a moving Parel–Ambernath Mumbai local train, according to railway officials and police. The incident occurs around 12:30 a.m. while the train is in motion. Railway officials say the dispute begins over seat allocation and later escalates into a physical altercation inside the train’s luggage compartment. Officials add that four people initially engage, with two getting off at Thakurli station, while the remaining two continue and get off at Kalyan. After the scuffle, the men receive first aid at Kalyan before being taken to hospital—Rukhmabai Hospital for treatment, with one later referred to Sion Hospital for further care.

Police and railway protection personnel board the train at Kalyan station to inspect the compartment after receiving information. Investigators report that neither injured man is found to be carrying sharp weapons. They say the injuries are caused during the struggle when a metal bangle (kada) worn by one person strikes the other’s head. Police say the exact circumstances leading to the altercation are still being investigated, and legal proceedings have been initiated.
