In the latest quarter, IT companies Tech Mahindra and Wipro show contrasting profit trends despite revenue growth. Tech Mahindra reports revenue of ₹15,711 crore, up 17.6% year-on-year, and a net profit of ₹1,486 crore, which increases 31.6%. Wipro also records revenue growth, with revenue rising 10.6% year-on-year to ₹24,479 crore; however, its net profit declines 4.7%.
One report adds that Tech Mahindra’s quarterly profit comes in below Street estimates, even though revenue growth continues. Meanwhile, Wipro’s revenue from operations is cited as ₹15,712 crore for the quarter, compared with ₹15,076 crore in the preceding quarter.
Taken together, the reports indicate that both companies expand revenue, but net profitability moves in opposite directions: Tech Mahindra’s profit grows while Wipro’s profit falls. The accounts also highlight margin and growth differences between the two firms in the quarter.
