Morgan’s Supersport is set to arrive in the United States as part of an expanded lineup, according to reports from multiple outlets. The model is positioned as a sharp-handling variant, but its U.S. offering differs from what some international buyers may expect. The key change is the powertrain: the American version does not include a six-cylinder (BMW B58) configuration. Instead, the Supersport sold in the U.S. is limited to a four-cylinder engine. One reason cited is manufacturing and market limitations—Morgan reportedly caps sales at a maximum of 325 Supersport units per year. That cap affects the company’s ability to pursue additional engine homologation and investment, including work related to the B58. As a result, the U.S. market receives a specification streamlined for the available production run. Overall, the reports agree that while the Supersport is coming to America, the version available there includes an important omission: the absent six-cylinder option.
