Asus is preparing to launch its new 12.2-inch Android tablet, the Asus Pad, in India. Multiple outlets report that the company has set an August 6 launch date, with the GSMArena listing the time as 12:00 noon local. The tablet is positioned as part of Asus’s return to the Indian tablet market after nearly a decade.

GSMArena adds details including a 2800×1840 resolution, a 3:2 aspect ratio, and up to 2,000-nit peak brightness, while TechGenyz and other coverage refer to a tandem/two-layer OLED configuration. For performance, the Asus Pad uses a MediaTek Dimensity 8300 chipset. Memory and storage are described by GSMArena as 8GB LPDDR5X RAM with 128GB or 256GB options.
Audio specifications include four speakers with Dolby Atmos 360 support (per GSMArena). Battery capacity is reported as 9,000mAh by Times of India and NDTV. NDTV also notes Android 16, while pricing has not yet been announced and is expected to be shared closer to the launch date. Distribution is reported via Flipkart and Asus stores.
