Kuwait Airways says it reschedules most of its flights because airspace is closed on Saturday, 18 July 2026. In a post on X, the airline urges passengers to stay updated on their flight status and says it will send notifications and text messages to the phone numbers registered with their bookings if there are changes.
The airspace closure follows a wider security situation in the region. Earlier, Kuwait’s military says it is responding to Iranian missile and drone attacks for the third time and urges the public to follow safety and security instructions issued by authorities. The airline’s disruption announcements come as Kuwait Airways also references that similar regional airspace closures earlier in the year led to major travel disruptions across several Gulf countries. Those earlier disruptions reportedly left many travellers transiting the region stranded for days or even weeks, as flights were suspended or rerouted.
While Kuwait Airways does not specify which routes are affected beyond rescheduling “most” flights, both statements indicate ongoing monitoring and passenger notification as the situation develops.
