Bollywood actor Salman Khan visits the Slum Rehabilitation Authority (SRA) office in Mumbai and takes part in an inauguration program on Friday night. According to reports, he inaugurates the SRA’s new Data Collection and Verification Support Centre, described as an IT server room and part of the authority’s digital infrastructure. The facility is presented as supporting the SRA’s e-governance efforts by making digital governance more efficient and secure, while helping strengthen modern, transparent, citizen-focused service delivery. During the same event, Khan personally distributes house keys to beneficiaries of the slum rehabilitation programme—more than 50 people—who are said to receive keys to permanent homes. Officials from the SRA brief Khan on ongoing initiatives and future development plans during the visit. Khan also unveils a SRA coffee table book that documents the organization’s work, rehabilitation stories, development projects, and achievements. The reports say SRA leadership, including CEO Dr. Mahendra Kalyankar, is present at the programme.
