At Jantar Mantar in New Delhi, Cockroach Janata Party (CJP) founder Abhijeet Dipke continues the protest he is leading after an incident in which an unknown woman hurls an ink-like liquid at him while he addresses a gathering. The attack briefly disrupts the event as supporters rush toward the stage. Police say the woman is detained, and further investigation into the motive and identity is ongoing.

The developments come after police shift activist Sonam Wangchuk to Safdarjung Hospital, following concerns about his health during a 20-day indefinite hunger strike. Sources cited by reporting describe that Wangchuk’s condition deteriorates during the fast, with doctors monitoring his blood pressure and blood sugar and noting significant weight loss.

Some protesters allege that activists were detained and that forceful removal or manhandling by police and plainclothes individuals occurred during the early morning operation to hospitalize Wangchuk. Organizers also maintain that a planned march to Parliament on July 20 is still set to proceed.
