Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited (BPCL) launches “Bharatgas Lite ZIP,” a premium LPG service designed to provide faster, more digital customer experience. NDTV and the Free Press Journal report that the service focuses on quicker processing for new LPG connections and faster delivery of cylinders, aiming to suit customers with frequent relocations or time-sensitive needs. The service is launched in Mumbai and BPCL plans to expand it to 100 cities across 24 states by August 15, with further rollout to other major cities afterward.
The new offering combines BPCL’s lightweight Bharatgas Lite composite cylinder with a service model that includes an easier connection process and express cylinder delivery. The cylinder is described as having features such as a corrosion-free, modern design and visibility for checking LPG levels, along with enhanced safety features.
BPCL officials cited customer-centric innovation and convenience, with marketing and digital measures highlighted in one report, including 100% digital booking and OTP-based delivery authentication, alongside a quality assurance programme. Both outlets frame the move as part of BPCL’s effort to broaden its LPG services toward more technology-enabled, doorstep delivery-oriented options.
