The Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi (Ojaja II), announces the death of his immediate elder brother, Prince Adetunji Ogunwusi. The passing is communicated in a statement on Sunday through the Ooni of Ife Leadership Colloquium and via the palace’s Director of Media and Public Affairs, Sodiq Lawal. Across the reports, the prince is described as a distinguished entrepreneur and respected community figure whose life is marked by humility, service, and humanitarian support. Nigerian Eye and Daily Post Nigeria say he is associated with the Ojaja lineage of the Giesi Ruling House and identify him as Group Chairman of Primewaterview Holdings. They also report his birth date as December 8, 1967. Legit.ng adds that family members are expected to announce burial arrangements following the announcement of his death. The Ooni is quoted expressing that the death creates an irreplaceable void for the Ogunwusi family, the Ojaja Royal Dynasty, and the Ile-Ife Kingdom, and he extends condolences while urging the community to take solace in the prince’s contributions.
